This is an elegant 26-storey hotel well located in the downtown business district, adjacent to an upmarket shopping complex and very much geared to the business traveler. The Grand Hyatt Jakarta hotel well deserves its five-star status for its fine dining, cheerful and competent staff and luxurious accommodation. This 428-room property is close to government offices, museums and Jakarta's cultural attractions. It is 40 minutes by car from Jakarta's International Airport.

Many previous guests appreciate the good security the hotel offers with armed guards and metal detectors. Most prefer this location to other five star properties in the city but many think the additional charges for the executive floor are not worth the money. They are delighted with the regular rooms. The rooms and suites enjoy views of the free-form pool, lush gardens or the famous welcome roundabout through double bay windows. Rooms measure 50-square-meters and have modern, minimalist decor with classic Indonesian accents. The distance from the airport to the hotel Jakarta is 28 kilometers and will take 40 minutes by car. From Gambir Railway Station: Turn left into Medan Merdeka Timur, left into Medan Merdeka Utara, left into Medan Merdeka Barat and straight into Jalan M H Thamrin to the hotel, The distance from Gambir Train Station is 4.5 kilometers and will take 10 minutes by car.
