Alila Ubud blends traditional Balinese architecture with contemporary designs on its perch above the Ayung River. Scenic views of the valley and surrounding mountains are available at the hotel’s open-style restaurant serving healthy and natural options of Balinese cuisine under coconut pillars and a traditional thatched roof. The cabana offers Asian specialties next to the pool. Available three miles away in Ubud, Bali’s artistic and cultural hub, are other dining options as well as a local souvenir market and the Ubud palace.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Alila Ubud will appeal to travelers who prefer accommodation with contemporary designs instead of traditional architecture. However, the resort still retains traditional Balinese warmth and attentive service of its staff so that guests will have an enjoyable stay. The only hiccup would be the cricket sounds at night; light sleepers should perhaps opt to stay elsewhere or come prepared. Read our customer reviews?
