Hong Kong Hotel Guide Cheap Hong Kong Hotels

The island of Hong Kong has played an important part in China's economic ambitions, largely due to its impressive Victoria Harbour. Thus, it receives many guests who are here to conduct business. However, Hong Kong Island is also a fantastic place to discover if you're here just for the fun of it as it houses a number of Hong Kong's most famous sites.

The Flagstaff House of Museum of Tea Ware can be found in Hong Kong Park. Its stunning architecture dates back over 150 years. Interested in seeing more history? The Man Mo Temple is the oldest of its kind on Hong Kong Island. The Wong Tai Sin Temple is also a popular destination. However, it is a bit out of the way from the other Hong Kong Island attractions. Those interested in art will want to make time for the amazing Hong Kong Museum of Art as it showcases an impressive array of exhibits and collections.

Many travelers make their way to Kowloon, which is a peninsula located on the north end of the island. What makes this area so attractive? First, you can take in some of the best views of the island. Secondly, it is home to a number of fantastic shops and places to enjoy an authentic meal. Another popular place to have a great view can be found on Victoria Peak.

Those looking for some fun have two great options to consider. The first is Hong Kong Disneyland, located on Lantau Island. Although a tad smaller than some of the other parks you'll still be able to enjoy that Disney Magic. Ocean Park is another fantastic option. It is a unique combination of a marine and amusement park. You'll be able to enjoy a roller coaster ride and explore an amazing aquarium all on the same day. As mentioned before, Disneyland can be found on Lantau Island. Interestingly enough, it is also home to a number of fantastic beaches and is one of the quieter areas Hong Kong has to offer.

Although Hong Kong Island has a number of sites worth discovering, hiking here is a highlight for many. The mountains are absolutely beautiful and there are a number of trails for you to explore. Rather explore on the streets? Shopping here is a lot of fun and there are both malls and street markets for you to visit.

Hong Kong Island also knows how to celebrate. The Chinese New Year is a major celebration for the locals. Although many of the sites will be closed during this time it's a lot of fun to be a part of the action. The Spring Lantern Festival is another popular event and a time where you can see many beautiful Chinese lanterns. Of course, dining on Hong Kong Island is almost reason enough to come. It seems no matter where you go you have a huge abundance of choices.

Come for the sites, explore its nature or enjoy the ambiance the locals provide. Whatever your reasons, you too will see why Hong Kong Island is such a popular destination.
