Accurately named the "Palace at the Pyramids", the view, the accommodations, and the service were suburb. From our balcony we had a spectacular view of two of the pyramids. We dined at two of the many restaurants and were never disappointed. For those visiting Giza to see the sights, add at least one night at this hotel to your "must do" list.

We were there mid-March and had a fabulous time. We arrived at night and were not aware of where the pyramids were. When we saw them, we stood there mouths agape!!

A historic old hotel with a great view. It shows it's age in places, but I still HIGHLY recommend it. Well kept, nice clean rooms, good service, good restaurants. Nice grounds. Wander the old hotel. A nice place to start your Egyptian experience.

If this were the worst hotel in Egypt, I'd still recommend staying there due to its proximity to the Giza Pyramids. However, it's actually a lovely 19th century royal hunting lodge, with a real "period" feel to it (though the modern Garden rooms have none of the charm of the Palace wing). My only issue is that the restaurants are expensive by Cairo standards, particularly if you wish to drink imported wine. That said, it's the only place where you can sink a Saqqara beer within a few yards of the immortal resting place of the pharoah Khufu, so perhaps it's worth it.

This hotel is wonderfully located across the street from the pyramids and the sphinx. Great Landscaping and friendly staff. Rooms in desperate need of refurbishing. Bathrooms very nice. Indian Restaurant loacted in the hotel is the best I have ever tried. Do not waste any time in the "Casino". Overall impressive.
