I live part time in Costa Rica, and this Marriott is fantastic. Built on a coffee plantation, the views are great. Away from the dirty city of San Jose and close to SJO with free shuttle. Pool and some rooms are under construction right now which causes a lot of unwated noise. Ask to be away from any construction. The Spa and workout room are nice. Service is good and they speak english better than staff at hotels in south florida.

This hotel is very very nice. Secluded, and approximately 7 miles from San Jose. My husband just loved the privacy.

The Marriott is conveniently located close to the San Jose Airport so you don't have to go in to or out of downtown (which is a GOOD thing!). The grounds are beautiful, amenities plentiful, the hotel is very clean. One drawback we experienced is the beautiful tiled flooring carries noise far too easily. You feel like the outside hallway is in your bedroom.

Great Place, and generally the hotel service is very good (on par with the best). But the restaurant and pool service is so slow that even Costa Ricans warned us about it. Waiting over an Hour and 1/2 for your order is not un-common. Get the Breakfast Buffet and they will make your eggs on a grill before your eyes in under 10 minutes.

This high quality hotel is new and very well appointed and convenient to both the airport and most locations within San Jose. It has extensive, well kept grounds with a very nice set of pools and tennis courts. The food was very good, the breakfast buffet was extensive and fresh and the bar was active and well appointed. This makes a nice destination for working in San Jose as well as a higher end stop near the SJO International airport for those visiting other areas of Costa Rica.
