My experience... - posted on 01/20/2006
I stayed over at the hotel for one night on the way to San Salvador in December and one night on the way back from San Salvador in early January.I found the hotel had improved slightly since the new owners took over. I do find some of the breakfast dishes are slightly expensive. However, I hope to stay with you in December/January 2007.
mis-representation - posted on 04/16/2007
This hotel is not properly represented, ther is not any room service, busienss center, internet services in lobby only. Room was a dump, poor hotel security and overall presentation of facility was run down, I will not stay here again.
DUMP - posted on 04/02/2007
What a dump! Run don't walk and most important do not book. Pictures must be 30 years old. Service was awful, staff rude, place not just dirty but filthy. So gross, we only stayed for one night Thank Goodness!!!

i traveled with my baby and was looking for a nice place to stay but boy was i wrong the curtains in the room had mold on it the bed spread was stained.i stayed there one night and left early next morning while checking out i over heard the counter person complaining that i was taking all their cash mind you i payed them cash for 5 days 50 and 100 they gave me back 5 and 10 and then he had the nerve to say he did not blame me for checking out because as far as he was concerned the hotel had lots of problems.
BEWARE - posted on 02/23/2007
I was completely disgusted with my stay here. Highlights: bathroom clogged (called to inform and no one ever came to fix it), no towels (requested - never came. Ended up using our beach towels), bad customer service from hotel staff, rooms are pretty gross (and i've stayed at some bad 2 star hotels before) - I killed a mosquito in the bathroom the first time I was in there.
Big Mistake - posted on 02/07/2007
Horrible hotel. Live Music blasted from 10 p.m. til 5 a.m., no coffee maker in room, insufficient towels, clogged sink, dirty room. Stay away!!!
Satisfactory Stay - posted on 01/05/2007
Hotel was average, like many things in Nassau the hotel needs an upgrade, but with Atlantis and other properties pulling the upscale tourist in this hotel serves it's purpose of average accomadations, with a great downtown location. The service is good if you treat them like people doing their job, complain and you are doomed.
Never go here!! - posted on 11/11/2006
The rooms were exceptionally dirty (stained sheets, grungy bathroom), the staff laughed at me when I told them I thought my room wasn't cleaned. I felt very unsafe at night, and once again the staff refused to help with any problems.
nassau palm beach hotel - posted on 11/07/2006
a reasonably priced hotel, within walking distance of downtown and easy walking distance to beach and some shops - nassau is a cruse ship port - i think i have finally learned to avoid these places, but if you need a downtown location for ferry connections this is a nice place to stay
Enjoyable - posted on 10/03/2006
The hotel is in a very convenient location; walking distance from downtown shopping and the market where you can find great deals on various merchandise. The natives were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back to the same hotel just because of its location. The rooms could use some improvement.

Its accross a busy but passable street from the beach(watch out for broken glass). Staff was nice, pools where deep but clean and refreshing, resturaunt had good food but overpriced(like all of Nassau) For the money its a good deal and not 5 star resort.
don't bother! - posted on 07/31/2006
i went there with my best friend and when we got to our room it had looked as if somebody was still there! we kept calling room service for more towels, and the view wasn't that great! save your money and book a 4 star hotel!!
Fun Times - posted on 06/08/2006
Check in was at 4, so we used the pool for a couple houros before we could get our room card. In walking distance to Straw Market, several shops, and the Pirates of Nassau museam and bar. Room was clean. . The staff was friendly to my wife and myself. The only charges on our room was $1.50 for two local calls. We didn't pay maid or energy charges with ***. The pool seemed to be open all the time which is kinda rare. The beach across the street was easy to get to and was scenic. .
Great Island Deal, considering its price - posted on 06/06/2006
I have been traveling to Nassau for many years. The Nassau Palm Resort remains my favorite hotel destination there--and this from a former travel journalist. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are colorful, spacious, and well-equipped. The phones DO work after making a deposit for long distance services. I particularly like the NPR because of its scenic ocean view and proximity to varied cultural sites, including the popular Junkanoo and music festival venues. The NPR provides a reasonable price, good service, and marvelous cultural convenience.

This hotel is not up to standard. Will not be staying there again
Spring Breakers - posted on 05/14/2006
I worked for a Spring Break company and I cannot tell you how much fun everyone had at this hotel. Sure, it's not the most modern and okay-the 'beach' sucks, but take a bus for $1 to cable beach. You cannot beat the location-the money you save on taxis and hotel food is enough that you can do other things. I wouldn't pay the $$ that the Cable Beach hotels want-they are run down and need work too...unfortunatly most hotels there do. But I go for the sun, sand and people, not for the hotel rooms.
I wish I had read a review before I stayed here! - posted on 05/12/2006
This hotel looks beautiful in photos but do not be fooled. I did not enjoy my experience at this hotel. It is not right on the beach and there is a very busy road you must cross. The staff was friendly but the service was aweful! Nothing was quick and my friend and I were not comfortable here. I would come back to the Bahamas again, it is a beautiful place but never to this hotel!
The Worst - posted on 04/24/2006
This place was awful. There were trash bags in the hall, staff was awful there is a extra $12 a day charge for maid service (even if the maid doesn't clean your room, which there is no garentee she will). We complained about ants, and spiders in the room and we were told by the manager to "deal with it, that is the Bahamas". DO NOT STAY HERE. Pay the extra money to stay somewhere else. We loved Nassau and will come back and stay anywhere but here. O yeah the room keys never work.
You can do better somewhere else - posted on 04/14/2006
Try no running water while in the shower, crossing a Busy street to head to a Rocky beach, people who offer you drugs while in the street and also in the hotel! Lack of sidewalks when walking to downtown. Overpriced items. Some friendliness with locals and staff but others have an attitude. Water-view means the swimming pool and only Part of the ocean. You're lucky if you get a refriderator, safe deposit box and internet service. High winds, chilly, rain in April. I would NOT recommand.

This is the worse place I have ever stayed since I left college. I will never return, even if they paid me.
horrible - posted on 03/27/2006
horrible rude lazy staff and dirty rooms. noisy local traffic within steps of hotel. photos and info very misleading. phones didnt work + they took them off the hook in the middle of the night. we ended up checking out after the first night. i dont care how cheap the room was, there should still be a certain level of customer service.
Total Joke - posted on 03/09/2006
I cannot say anything good about this hotel other than when my wife and I left. I'm one to not mind having a only a bed to sleep in but this was terrible even for myself. Bad service/con artists, bad/expensive food, phones don't work. Spend the extra money for another hotel.
Only once - posted on 01/14/2006
Place needs serious renovations. High-speed internet not working, food average, rooms old, bathrooms clean but water not that good. Good for people who just need a bed to lay on.
terrible hotel - posted on 01/13/2006
Huge difference of the photos of the hotel and the real hotel, the hotel is very old, it need renovation from inside out. The room have all kind of stink on carpet, and also have ants in the bathroom. Water is the worst, the first day we arrive had no water, it took them 5 hours to fix it. Whenever you need something, it took them a few hours to respond to your need. Terrible services.
Needs Improvement: hotel need renovation
Good Value! - posted on 01/09/2006
Hotel is what you would expect for the incredibly low price. Right across the street from the beach. Beach isn't the most beautiful, but the water is wonderful. Check-in time is at 4 and they really do not check you in before then, which is a bit of a hassle. Staff is friendly enough but not wonderful.
GREAT VALUE - posted on 12/26/2005
For the cost of the rooms this is a GREAT value. Clean, newly painted, great exercise room with all the eq needed, easy walking location. Public beach is rocky but right across street. I would come back again.
Great Value - posted on 10/09/2005
Only downside was that hotel is across street from public beach and the beach was a bit rocky--great once one got into the water; can walk to downtown Nassau; purchase gifts at straw market, but be sure to barter; food was a bit expensive; breakfast at Sbarro was inexpensive; ask taxi drivers for coupons for Living Room and other shows; use the public bus service--most rides $1.00; be sure to go to Fish Fry--snapper is wonderful
BUDGET!! BUDGET!! HOTEL!!!!! - posted on 09/18/2005
Hotel was okay if you really want the cheapest price. The picture that is shown of the hotel is not clear and misleading. you have to cross the street to the beach, which seems to be a public beach. Too many ROCKS!!. I will

Hotel is in a perfect downtown area. It's not a beach resort but then again the price reflects that. It's easy to get around and to access the good shopping, sports, and entertainment. Staff is great.

Island view side of the hotel is better than waterview, smooth check in. Very nice for the money, safe and right around the corner from Downtown. Its by no means luxury
Nice staff - posted on 08/02/2005
What a great staff! Everyone was so nice to my family and me during our stay just recently! The hotel is not a 5-star but it worked great for us since we spent little time in the room. Nassau was great to explore and to shop, which is what we did! Thanks for a great time! We'll be back next year!
Great for the money - posted on 08/02/2005
We just recently returned from the resort and enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. The restaurant on this side of the main lobby had tasty local dishes at reasonable prices. The beach was just across the street and was nice and clean. Overall a good stay at a very affordable price for Nassau!
Not so good - posted on 07/10/2005
Rooms musty. Service bad. "Beach" across the street is really a dock. Only for last resort budget situations. Not horrible- but not recommended either.
