The stunning city of Nassau can be found on Bahama’s New Providence Island. Its ideal weather and fantastic nightlife have attracted travelers for decades. Although, nearby Atlantis is another reason why this island receives so many visitors. Whatever your reason though, Nassau is a wonderful destination to enjoy a fun-fill and relaxing holiday.

Its bustling harbor is quite popular and brings in a number of cruise ships throughout the week. Make your way to the Old Town and discover the bright and colorful historic buildings, including the pink Parliament. The Pirate Museum is a hit for the youngin’s and adults who have a little Long John Silver in their blood. Another site worth discovering is the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation center. Keep your eyes open for the flamingos and parakeets.

Shopping in Nassau is also a real treat. Choose a handmade souvenir at Festival Place or try out your bargaining skills at the Straw Market. The latter is also a fun place to get your hair braided. Nassau also has its fair share of duty-free shops, many of which are located along Bay Street. For those travelers eager to see a lot of Nassau you can rent a scooter and discover as much of it as you can.

Considering Nassau is in the Bahamas it should come as no surprise that it has a number of great water activities for you to enjoy. Spend the day scuba diving or stay close to shore and try out the snorkel gear. Deep-sea fishing is another popular activity as is the Dolphin Encounter located at the Blue Lagoon Island.

Once the sun sets you’ll have an abundance of great activities to keep you up well into the night. Try out the beach bars or go dancing with a crew of your friends. There are also lounges and jazz clubs for those travelers who just want to relax after a fun-filled day. And for those guests feeling like Lady Luck is on their side you can visit a number of casinos.
