The Eresin Crown Hotel is not just any boutique hotel. It is one of the few hotels in the world that can boast a museum and art gallery on its premises. The hotel is situated in the oldest part of Istanbul and the story is that during construction, so many artifacts were found there that the hotel was able to obtain an official permit to diplay these artifacts from the Roman, Hellenistic and Byzantine Empires. Beside this, there is also an art gallery showing examples of Ottoman art. The result is a wonderful experience where the guest is literally surrounded by Istanbul's history. As well as providing excellent facilities for the business traveller, the city's main tourist attractions and historical sites are within easy reach on foot. It is surrounded by restaurants, small atmospheric bars, boutique shops and the general ambiance of the old city. When you feel like experiencing the busy nightclub and bar area of Taksim, you can do so quite easily by taxi.

On first inspection, this hotel would be an ideal choice for those seeking a true Istanbul experience. It is well-located, its desk staff seem to be friendly and helpful and it is truly beautiful with its enviable collection of artifacts and historical pieces. However, guest reviews seem to be mixed. Overall they say the service, while being good, is probably not 5 star standard and the rooms are a little small and dark. Despite this, many guests say they would stay there again. Eresin Crowne Hotel Accommodations

The hotel has 60 rooms, all of which are equipped with air conditioning, a mini bar, safes and come with 24 hour room service. Perhaps the biggest drawingcard though is the jacuzzi in every room. Views of the old city provide a perfect backdrop to the rooms which are decorated in a modern Ottoman style with cushions that provide a little extra drama. Suites are also available at extra charge.

Amenities offered

Eresin Crown guests are treated to an array of services. However, it is the extras that really set this hotel apart. Besides the museum and art gallery, it has two very stylish restaurants, one of which, the Terrace, has spectacular 360 degree views of the Bosphorus and its surrounding architecture. Both restaurants offer fine continental cuisine and 'The Column' bar is stylish and comfortable. The hotel caters well for business guests with services ranging from workstations with Internet connections to two functional meeting rooms catering for up to 180 delegates. A ball room is also available should you feel the need to throw cocktail party or special function.

This hotel is easily accessible by taxi.
If you are driving, simply head straight down Kennedy Caddessi from the airport until you arrive at the Kumkapi entrance to old Sultanahmet.
The hotel is located on Kucuk Ayasofia Caddesi in the heart of the ancient city.
The journey should take around 20 minutes but airport transfers can be arranged by contacting the hotel website in advance.
