We stayed at the Best Western Acropol Hotel for four nights and could not have been any more happier. We were upgraded to a sea view room no extra cost due to space availability. Extremely clean room with a very large sitting area and large bathroom. A wonderful view from the roof top dining and sitting area. Hotel staff was very friendly and seemed to go out of their way to help, and spoke very good English.
Good place to stay! - posted on 12/02/2006
This hotel made my first visit to Istanbul enjoyable and memorable. It's conveniently located, which is a key for a novice traveler to Turkey like me. Hotel staff was friendly, room was very clean. Only complaint was noise at night. The top-floor restaurant seems a popular party location for local folks, and one weekend party was long and noisy. But hey, you're in a different part of the world, it's not your backyard, so I joined the party and had fun too. If you're noise-sensitive, bring ear plugs to ANY Istanbul hotels. Except the weekend party, the place was quiet and pleasant.

I stayed two nights here in September 2006. Our room had no balcony (as promised), and no view. The rooms was quite small, with a mini-tv and a minibar, not much else. The bathroom wasn't clean and the air con didn't work, the staff were not very helpful (or friendly!!) when we pointed this out.

I enjoyed my stay very much and the staff were kind and pleasant. The area was very nice with lots of places to go within walking distant. Taxi service was easily accessible if needed. The only thing I was not pleased with was the fact that the receptionist did not alert us of the charge for the beverages that are placed inside each room. I also think that they should have at least 2 more computers in their business center. All and All, it is a very nice hotel and I would recommend others.

Immediately adjacent to entrance to Topkapi, makes visiting all the important sites practical for all ages and abilities. Grand Bazaar and turkish baths very close. Rooftop restaurant has charming views, good views, very reasonable prices. Charmingly old fashioned.

The suite did not sleep 4, as claimed, so we had to occupy 2 at double the price. Breakfast was totally unimaginative. No robes were provided as claimed, the toiletries were very cheap and not replenished. We were not collected at the airport as requested.
