The marble-floored lobby gives you an idea of the quality of the Hotel Becquer, a family run hotel in Seville’s city center. It is one of the few hotels in the city with its own spa and hotel guests can enjoy discounts there. The 139-room property is on a street noted for good bars and restaurants and three blocks from the bull ring and just 10 kilometers from the city’s international airport. The hotel was built on the site of a former mansion and several items from the original building have been incorporated into the Bar Ingles. The clientele is a mix of business and vacation travelers prepared to spend a little more to have good quality accommodation and service.

There is a wonderful old world charm about this property which does excuse some of the areas that are a little dated. Its proximity to fine shopping and also the old city sights are a big plus.
