The Westin Palace is a great hotel in Madrid and is located within easy walking distance of the Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen museums. There were no surprises or unexpected charges and the staff was extremely helpful. If you leave your room for an hour, it is cleaned and picked up. The hotel restaurant is elegant but very pricey so it is best to try for a package that includes breakfast and/or a dinner. My wife accidentally sprained her ankle while in Madrid and the staff at the Palace showed genuine concern and even loaned us a crutch for several days after our reservation. I highly recommend the Westin Palace.

Great for a couple but pricy for families because of extra people charges.

The Westin Palace, situated in the center of Madrid, offers posh guest accommodations and guest offices. The hotel boasts the finest amenities and services for maximum comfort. The traditional style of the Palace has been followed in all rooms. The Heavenly Bed, consisting of ten layers of heaven, feature five king- and queen-size pillows, plush down comforter and specially designed pillow top mattress set. The Royal Suite, one of its kinds, is lavishly appointed with modern amenities, like pop-up television, Jacuzzi, sauna and built-in Bang & Olufsen sound. This small kingdom comes with a butler.

La Rotonda, serving all meals, has a wide range of warm and cold dishes. Live music performances are also organized in the restaurant. The Asian Art Galley has a Chinese menu for lunch and dinner. El Bar del Palace offers some of the best cocktails of the world. Guests can taste and buy wines of their choice from the Wine Cellar. They can access the Neptuno Fitness Club around the clock by using their room key card.
