Like other airport hotels the Meliá Barajas offers a free 24-hour bus service to the airport terminals. In addition it also has a free bus service to the nearby IFEMA fair grounds any time there is a trade show. The hotel is in a quiet residential area close to the Congress Center and the Olivar Golf course. Choice of transportation if you are headed downtown: Bus, underground or taxi.

This airport hotel, now that it has been refurbished, offers good value for money. And if you can utilize its facilities in August you will find bargains. Melia Barajas Hotel Accommodations

All 229 rooms - 198 doubles, 23 singles, six suites, and two rooms that have sitting rooms - have been refurbished. All come equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephone with modem connection, minibar, in-room safe and the bathrooms have a hairdryer and magnifying mirror. There are non-smoking rooms, rooms suitable for the disabled and room service operates 24/7.

The hotel has a large outdoor pool which is open during the summer. There is an attractive bar, cafeteria and restaurant.
