The Hotel Santos was pretty nice and well appointed. Not terribly convenient to any sites, but within a few blocks of the Metro. Many bar/cafes in the area, but none notable. Rooms were a good size, with surprisingly large towels. Shower tends to spray on the floor. There was always at least one person at the desk who spoke English.

It was a decent hotel. It is no american 4 star but for spain it wasnt bad. The rooms are small but comfortable and the shower is also small but it gets the job done. Overall my experience there was pretty good. Oh yeah the location was a big bummer. The metro is a 10 min walk and you have to take it to get anywhere fast.

Very convenient and clean. Easy to get to the heart of Madrid by taxi or bus. Staff can be unhelpful and rude, but overall a good experience.

The staff was rude and not helpful. We asked for a wakeup call and never got one the day we left. no amenities (alarm clock) included. There was no shuttle to the airport, as was listed in hotels.com. The location is not that great...near the metro, but not near the downtown sights.
