This 14th century Gothic building was a palace then home to a shop selling internationally known luxury fabrics before it become the Hotel Al Ponte Antico. The original structure of the building has been retained and enhanced with natural materials during the restoration, giving the hotel a unique charm. Spot the large fresco and Sansovino-trussed ceiling in the hall, or simply sip on a glass of Venetian wine at the bar. Around the hotel are a variety of eateries serving Venetian cuisine, and souvenir shops. Rialto Bridge is within walking distance from the hotel, while Saint Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs are about half a mile away.

The Peruch family took over the management of the hotel in April of 2007. Since then, guests have been raving about the warm hospitality of family members running the hotel, as well as their intimate knowledge of Venice. The rooms are sufficiently spacious yet cozy, and within walking distance from the hotel are several public transport options to neighboring islands in the Venetian lagoon. Read our customer reviews?
