This hotel is ideal for those who want to concentrate on the sights at Saint Mark’s Square as well as the nearby San Moisè Church, but want to be away from the crowded streets. The only hitch happens in the early morning, when guests in rooms on the lower floors may be woken by the narratives given by gondola drivers as they bring visitors around the canals. There are 91 rooms and 18 suites at Bauer Hotel & Bauer Il Palazzo, all fusing modern amenities with furnishing from the 1950s. All rooms have Twin- or King-bed arrangements, individually controlled air conditioning, satellite television, International Direct Dial telephone, mini bar, and data port. The attached bathroom has bathtub/shower combination, bidet, bathrobe, slippers, and hair dryer. Room service is available round the clock and guests enjoy a complimentary American buffet breakfast. Non-smoking rooms and cribs are available on request. Some rooms have a terrace.
