The Hotel Canal is located in the historic center of Venice, within walking distance from Piazzale Roma and its main water taxi station. Housed in a building overlooking the Grand Canal, the charming interior features lights and ornate mirrors made in the Murano glass factories. Guests enjoy a complimentary Continental breakfast in the breakfast room, and can sip on coffee or drinks with a snack at the bar through the day. The Church of Saint Simon the Small and the Bridge of Barefoot Carmelite Sisters are within walking distance from the hotel. Rialto Bridge is half a mile away and Saint Mark’s Square is one mile away.

Hotel Canal Accommodations

Hotel Canal has 17 individually air-conditioned single, double, triple and quadruple rooms with views of either the Grand Canal or the hotel’s garden. Room furnishings reflect styles from 18th century Venice, and blend well with modern amenities such as satellite television, direct dial telephone, in-room safe, and mini bar. The attached bathroom has a bidet, hair dryer and extra towels. Non smoking rooms are available upon request.

Guests are given useful tourist information on arrival, including discounts at a number of restaurants near the hotel. A television room provides a cozy retreat for light reading or conversation while the 24-hour front desk can help arrange guided tours or excursions on request. From Marco Polo airport, take the ATVO shuttle or bus number 5 to Piazzale Roma; from San Guiseppe airport in Treviso, take the ATVO shuttle to Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma, turn right to Fondamenta Santa Croce to walk along the Grand Canal. Continue along Fondamenta della Croce followed by Fondamenta San Simeone Piccolo to arrive at Hotel Canal.

From Santa Lucia train station, Hotel Canal can be seen across the Grand Canal. With the Grand Canal on your right, walk along Fondamenta degli Scalzi to Ponte Scalzi. Cross the bridge then turn right and continue along the side of the Grand Canal on Fondamenta San Simeone Piccolo to arrive at Hotel Canal.
