Good use of small venetian space - posted on 01/04/2007
As all hotels in Venezia are short on room, this one makes excellent use of the available space. Only a short walk from the train station was nice. I would hate to have to find my way through the maze of canals with luggage. Look out for the room service though, it is in typical venice fashion...Overpriced!
Great Location but that's about it. - posted on 11/16/2006
This is the closest hotel to the train station in Central Venice which makes it very convenient. The rooms were extremely small and for over * Euros per night, I would have expected breakfast to be included. That would have been 18 Euros more PER PERSON!

The room was ok if you don't spend much time there. Bathroom floor gets wet when you shower and it's hard to sleep with the noise in the hallway. Staff was nice.
Fine, but expensive - posted on 12/28/2005
In fact, this hotel scores rather medium on all criteria.

proximity to train and ferry is excellent but there was a lack of friendly staff
lovely hotel/location - posted on 09/04/2005
we enjoyed this hotel and thought it was a very good value, (excepting the rather ordinary breakfast buffet). located next to the train station and a boat stop on the grand canal, it would be hard to find a better location. our room was quite pretty as was the bath. we would recommend this to our friends.
Great Location - posted on 07/25/2005
The hotel is located less than 50 meters from and on the same side of the Grand Canal as the train station. The room was adequate in size and had very comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The staff, while not overly friendly are very professional and very nice. The staff on the front desk speak English and were very helpful. Though somewhat of a distance from Piazza San Marco, the vaparretto ride is very pleasant and there are several very nice restaurants located close to the hotel.
Easy to find in Venice - posted on 07/20/2005
This hotel was very close to the train station and easy to get our bags to- also close to major vaporetto stops. The front desk lets you use the phone downstairs but doesn't have very good information about the city. Warning - if you want to sleep with the person you are traveling with, you must be very clear when booking. We ended up with two twin beds pushed together and made separately. Also, rooms on the train station side are also close to a church whose bells ring at 7:15 and 7:30 am every morning for two minutes each time. Impossible to sleep through but very old world sounding.
misrepresentation - posted on 06/21/2005
not only was my room still not available at 6:45, but the rooms were not as represented on the hotel site. the photos must have been taken by an ingenious photographer, as somehow they crammed a canal view in, where no room actually had one. the rooms are run down as is the entire hotel. 4 star this isn't!!!
Great hotel!! - posted on 03/04/2005
This hotel is about 30 paces from the train station and is directly across from one of the main walking bridges that crosses the canal. VERY convenient location. Beautiful rooms with marble washrooms. Very satisfied. Service was excellent and spoke very good english. Breakfast was not included which was a bit disappointing since they charged 30 euros for the two of us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
