Hotel San Cassiano Ca’Favretto is housed in a 14th century palazzo that was home to influential Venetian nobles as well as famed Venetian modern painter Giacomo Favretto, which the property is named after. The hotel’s bar features a collection of Murano glass figurines and guests can take a drink on its small terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. There are several restaurants in the hotel’s vicinity, and within walking distance is the Ca’Pésaro modern art museum and Rialto Bridge. Saint Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs are about a half mile from the hotel while the Peggy Geggenheim Collection of modern art is slightly more than half a mile away.

From Marco Polo airport, take the ATVO shuttle or bus number 5 to Piazzale Roma, then take water bus number 1 to San Stae stop. From Campo San Stae, turn left to Calle Pesaro then take another left to Calle del Ravano. Turn right to Calle Corner then turn left to Ramo della Rosa followed by another left to Calle della Rosa to arrive at Hotel San Cassiano Ca’Favretto.

From Santa Lucia train station, Hotel Canal can be seen across the Grand Canal. With the Grand Canal on your right, walk along Fondamenta degli Scalzi to Ponte Scalzi. Cross the bridge then turn right and continue along the side of the Grand Canal on Fondamenta San Simeone Piccolo to arrive at Hotel Canal.
