The four-storey Ateneo Hotel is housed in an 18th century building that was once home to noble families. Transformed into a hotel in 1959, the hotel features period decoration and furnishing typical of a Venetian residence. The famous La Fenice Theater is within walking distance from the hotel, as are a selection of eateries and retail shops. Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark’s Square are located approximately 680 yards from the hotel.

Relax in the drawing room on the second floor, offering views of the canal, the architecturally interesting Scala Contarini del Bovolo, and the La Fenice Theater. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the entire building and a complimentary Internet point is located in the café. The front desk operates 24-hours and can assist with requests for safe deposit box, laundry, babysitting/child care, currency exchange, business services and facsimile. From Marco Polo airport, take the shuttle bus to Piazzale San Marco and walk to Ateneo Hotel.

From Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia train station, take water bus number 1 or 82 to Vallaresso stop.
Get on the street opposite the stop, keeping Harry’s Bar on your right.
At the end of the street, turn left then continue to Campo S. Moisè.
Continue along then follow the directions toward the La Fenice Theater or to Antico Martini restaurant.
Arriving at Campo S.Fantin or Campo della Fenice, there is a sign for Ateneo Hotel, in front of the entrance to the theater bar.
