Located at one end of the Giudecca Island, the four-storey Hotel Cipriani is set among expansive private gardens and a short boat ride from Saint Mark’s Square. The hotel’s premises showcase a variety of decorating styles, from classical to formal Venetian with some Mediterranean touches. View Venice over a meal at Gabbiano Poolside Restaurant, admire Saint Mark’s Square across the lagoon with a casual bite at Cop’s Club Restaurant or have a candle lit with magnificent lagoon views at Fortuny Restaurant. The hotel is linked to Palazzo Vendramin - a former 15th century aristocratic residence - and Palazetto Nani-Barbaro via a flower-filled courtyard and passageway.

Since opening in the mid 1900’s, Hotel Cipriani has been the epitome of luxurious accommodation matched with impeccable and attentive service. Most guests of the hotel and visitors at its restaurants only have praise for the establishment and would not mind returning, despite the high prices. For the year of 2007, Hotel Cipriani is open until 18 November while Palazzo Vendramin and Palazzetto Nani-Barbaro are open through the rest of the year until 6 January 2008. Hotel Cipriani Accommodations

The 101 rooms of Hotel Cipriani feature antique furnishing and ornaments. All rooms overlook the hotel’s garden or the lagoon, and offer king or twin beds, cable/satellite television, in-room DVDs, hair dryer, and an attached bathroom. Some Superior and Deluxe rooms have a balcony and Jacuzzi, while the Palladio Suite boasts a private heated pool. Room service is available round the clock. Palazzo Vendramin offers three elegant double bedrooms and eight luxurious self-contained suites with a private butler service.

Take a dip in the hotel’s heated outdoor Olympic-size swimming pool, the only one in central Venice, then pamper yourself with body and facial treatments at the Cassanova Beauty and Wellness Center. More active guests can work out at the gymnasium or play a game of tennis. Personal items can be kept in safe-deposit boxes available at the front desk, and staffs can arrange for child care, laundry, and valet services. A concierge can offer suggestions for tours and arrange transport to a golf course nearby.

From Marco Polo airport, take the shuttle bus to Piazzale Roma then take a 15-minute water taxi ride to the hotel. From Saint Lucia train station, take a 15-minute water taxi ride to the hotel.

Hotel Cipriani operates a complimentary 24-hour boat service that arrives at their private landing stage at Piazzetta San Marco from 9:00am to 10:30pm, and from the landing stage at the swimming pool from 10:30pm to 9:30pm. Check with the hotel for more details.
The hotel provides private transfers to and from Marco Polo airport and Saint Lucia train station at additional cost.
