Hotel Scandinavia is housed in a palazzo that dates back to the year 1000. It was renovated in the 16th century by a wealthy merchant family before it was transformed in to a hotel in the 1950s. The hotel retains elements of an aristocratic Venetian residence and is adjacent to the Church of Santa Maria Formosa, built in 1492 as well as a Baroque bell tower built in 1688. The hotel is centrally located from Saint Mark’s Square, Rialto Bridge and Piazzale Roma: approximately 550 yards from these attractions. Dining options are available within walking distance of the hotel.

From Marco Polo International Hotel, take 45-minute Alilaguna water bus shuttle ride to San Zaccharia stop.
Walk along Calle delle Rasse on the left to Salizada di San Provolo.
Turn left on to Capo S.S. Filippo e Giacomo and continue along Calle di Rio della Chiesa.
Cross the bridge then continue on to Calle Castagna.
On arrival at Ruga Giuffa, turn left and cross the bridge to arrive at Capo Santa Maria Formosa. Hotel Scandinavia is on the right.
From Santa Lucia train station or Piazzale Roma, take water bus number 1 or 82 to Rialto Bridge stop.
Get on Calle della Bissa then turn right to Salizada San Lio.
Continue then turn left to Calle del Mondo Nuovo.
Cross the bridge to arrive at Campo Santa Maria Formasa and at Hotel Scandinavia.
