The Montecarlo is located just off San Marco and within walking distance of the Rialto Bridge. It is perfect for sight seeing, shopping, and enjoying the local food and drink. The hotel surprised us with a taxi trip to a glass blowing exibit and factory tour across the bay on the first morning of our trip.

The hotel location is wonderful. The rooms are a little small but that is to be expected with Venice. The staff was exteremly friendly and always helpful when we questions. The breakfast staff and food was excellent.

Just a few steps from St. Mark's Square & wonderful shopping. Our room was beautiful, lacked nothing & bathroom excellent. Exceeded expectations. Personnel very friendly & helpful & made it easy for us. THE best apricot croissants! Will stay there again.

The location cannot be beat. It's right in the middle of everything -- very close to St. Mark's Square. The staff was extremely helpful and breakfast was pretty good. The elevator is tiny and rooms are a bit cramped but that's Venice!!

This hotel was very nice. It was expensive but very clean and the location is incredible - right next to St. Mark's square and many restaurants. The cleanliness was very impressive and the staff was very friendly with great input into the local scene.

great location. large beautiful rooms. large glass tiled baths, front desk very helpful. tucked quietly 1 1/2 blocks back from st. mark's square -and the most beautiful city/waterland

Just off St.Mark's Sq. makes it ideal location for sightseeing. Sparkling clean. Extremely gracious, helpful front desk. Water taxi brings you to within 1 minute walk.

The hotel is just the most beautiful place you can ever stay in. I have stayed there a few times and they get better and better each time.My husband enjoyed all the entertainment and my children loved the activities.

This hotel gets the high rating primarily for the terrific staff it employs. They speak several languages, remember you and your room number, know everything about the city and are eager to help with whatever they can. Had a little trouble with the room, if you are a light sleeper be sure and ask for a room away from the stairs or you will be disturbed several times in the night like me. when I complained about the situation, I was moved far away from the stairs immediately. Hotel is in a great location, would definitely stay there again!!!
