Best Western Hotel Montecarlo is housed in a 17th century building that also previously accommodated a palace and a convent. Totally refurbished with modern fittings and amenities, the hotel is within walking distance to Saint Mark’s Square as well as various dining and shopping options. Guests can taste local dishes at the hotel’s Antico Pignolo restaurant, which also has an extensive wine list. Walking 660 yards from the hotel, guests will arrive at Rialto Bridge while about 820 yards away is the Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, which has an extensive display of artworks by Italian painter Vittorio Carpaccio.

Previous guests all love the hotel’s proximity to Saint Mark’s Square. However, there have been mixed reviews toward the size of rooms but do note that this is limited by the original structure of the building.
