Previously a post-war building with an adjoining church and cloister, the refurbished establishment is now home to the Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna. A high ceiling caps contemporary designs and furnishing. Elegant Italian cuisine and D.O.C. wines are served in Le Bistrot restaurant and the Il Colonnato ballroom. Lighter meals, snacks and drinks are available at the Il Chiostro bar. Other dining options are available in the vicinity of the hotel. Attractions like the Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel are slightly more than a mile from the hotel. The Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon are about three miles away.

Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna is approximately 14 miles from Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
Driving from the airport, get on Via Portuense then continue on to Via della Magliana.
Enter Circonvallazione Occidentale then continue on to 1 and carry on to Via Aurelia.

From the airport, take the train, which departs every 30 minutes, to Termini railway station.
Get on Metro line A and head in the direction of Battistini.
Alight at Cornelia stop and get on Largo Alessandro Caravillani.
Walk on to Piazza San Giovanni Battista de La Salle then turn right on to Via Aurelia and arrive at the hotel.
