Depends On What You Need In Your Stay - posted on 02/16/2007
Good service from most of staff, no iron in the hotel to use, the phone cuts off after 10 minutes-had to recall multiple times without knowing why & very rude service in dealing with us regarding the phone service, beds very uncomfortable & hard, shower cut in & out cold/hot, someone (?) sprayed my husbands expensive cologne in the room during cleaning instead of an air freshener, no data port?only modem for Internet, no satellite TV as advertised-only 2 channels, continental breakfast?not buffet breakfast as advertised, location was good for getting around, clean room-would NOT stay again

This hotel is an excellent practical hotel. Basic needs are met by clean accomodations, friendly staff, and a very satisfactory breakfast. This is not a hotel you would choose for its amenities. It is a good practical well located hotel. It is next to the underground main terminal which meant getting around Rome was EASY.

This was a pretty good hotel. The location was good and bad. It was by the termini station which is a pretty central location. But because of that there were a few homeless people hanging around. They'd remolded about 6 months previously and it looked great. Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful. There was a restaurant about 4 doors down from the hotel. The food was great and really cheap. My mother and I had 4 beers, 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, 2 desserts and a bottle of water and paid less than 50 Euros. Approxiamately 65.00. Cheap by european standards.
Clean but Small and Loud - posted on 10/03/2006
The hotel was clean, however the accomodations were small even by European standards, especially the shower. Also, the walls were thin so was awoken by doors opening and closing and people talking on the way to their room.

THis hotel was very nice! it's literally across the street from the train station/ bus station, so there is very easy access to everywhere touristy. The rooms were kind of small, but adequate!
Overall- Good - posted on 08/28/2006
Overall the hotel was good, shower cut in- out hot/cold and small. Other than that breakfast decent rooms clean, location decent and the staff is terrific. A little seedy area at night, but no problems. I would stay again no problem.
The Best - posted on 07/27/2006
This is a very simple hotel like most hotels are in Rome. Nothing like CA hotels it was a small cozy room with AC. The location is the best since the Termini Train,Bus, and Metro is right accross the street. It was quiet for being in a busy area. The only thing I advice is that the showers are quite small so if you are more than 200 lbs it might be uncomfortable. From what I heard other tourists say it was one of the few hotels with working AC. If it did go out you simply turn it off for 5 minutes and it started working fine again.

This hotel Aphrodite was perfectly located for convenience from the airport and transportation on metro to everywhere. It was a lovely, small room, tile bath with all modern fixtures, newly decorated, king sized bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly - it was a real find!
A Great Location - posted on 12/11/2005
Don't be worried when you get off the train and see this location. Train stations are never in scenic neigborhoods! The interior of the rooms is sparse but clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was really good and the location couldn't be better. All transportation in Rome, trains, busses, taxis are available just across the street. A great value.

The area is a little seedy but it is easy to find. It was very clean but watch out for the bathroom and shower. If you're over 5'10" or more than 150lbs its quite a tight fit.
Very happy with our stay. - posted on 08/12/2005
We stayed at this hotel for seven nights in Rome, and we were very happy with everything. The rooms were clean and new, and the bed/furniture were in very good condition. Everything in the bathroom was clean and worked fine. Best of all, the room was air conditioned, which isn't always available in Rome. The front desk spoke very good English, too. Being right next to the train station gave us easy access to ALL public transportation. We toured Rome for 7 days without ever taking a taxi.
