Dublin Hotel Guide Cheap Dublin Hotels

Dublin is a fantastic place, where the history is rich and the locals welcome its guests to see and explore it all. This beautiful city is nestled between harbors, hills and mountains, creating a picturesque environment, filled with many sites to explore. The streets are packed full of people making their way to museums, pubs and great restaurants. And you know this city has got a fantastic nightlife, considering its the birthplace for the incredible band U2.

The scenery here will take your breath away. Stroll through Phoenix Park, the largest of its kind in Europe. Or, you could take a short drive and take a walk in the mountains or along a sandy beach. Although a visit to a college campus may not be at the top of your list, youll enjoy a trip to Trinity College. Founded in 1592, it occupies over 47 acres and is filled with stunning buildings reflecting the old and new. Great minds such as Berkeley, Swift, Beckett, Hamilton, Fitzgerald, and Walton have studied here. Who knows, maybe youll be as inspired as they were.

The famous St. Patricks Cathedral is a definite must. Its the largest church in the country and is an amazing place to see. Youre welcome to enjoy the choir, who sings twice a day during the school terms. Please note that its not a museum, but an active church where youre more than welcome to come and see this magnificent place up close. Another beautiful site is the Christchurch Cathedral. Its at the top of each visitors list and youll soon see why. Its one of Dublins most recognized landmarks and is the oldest church here. The Treasures of Christ Church exhibit showcase 1000 years of history, worship and architecture in Ireland. Youll see unique manuscripts, artifacts and a stunning collection of gold and silverware. The choral services here are quite legendary as well. Founded in 1480, its choir was the first to perform Handels Messiah.

Dublin has many castles for you to see, one of which is the Malahide Castle. Beautifully situated on 250 acres of parkland, it was both a fortress and private home for nearly 800 years. Many additions have created an interesting mix of architectural designs and yet, its still retained much of its original design.

Although the museums and churches are stunning to look at, the number one attraction in Dublin is the Guinness Storehouse. This world famous beer has a fascinating history and the Guinness family welcomes you to hear their story. Over 250 years of brewing heritage await you, as does a pint of the refreshing brew. Enjoy it at the panoramic rooftop bar. This is one history lesson you wont soon forget.

Exploring the Dublin Castle, visiting the famous cathedrals, or enjoying a pint at a local pub are only some of the magnificent things you can experience here. Youll create fantastic memories as you make your way through this exciting city. At the end of the day, the locals will invite you into their conversations as you quench your thirst in a local pub and enjoy its fantastic nightlife.
