The beds.... absolutely fantastic. The Marriott has made their beds and sheets the best in the business. This has been a marketing coup for Marriott and really sets them ahead of the rest.

The Marriott new bedding policy is an absolute winner...the most comfortable beds in any hotel chain.

One of the reception staff was not as friendly as she should have been.

We arrived very late, after 2am, and were greeted by a very friendly and English-fluent clerk. Our standard room was beautiful (the view less so), with plenty of space and a luxurious king sized bed, quite a contrast to some of the cramped European lodgings we've stayed in before. The rooftop pool is very picturesque, and we enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the adjacent outdoor lounge.

Big rooms, clean, beautiful.

A drive from city center and a long walk from the metro. Most amenities incurred an extra charge.

The Athens Ledra Marriott is close to the famous Plaka and the Parthenon. The rooftop offers spectacular views of the Acropolis and the mountains. The Plaka has many vibrant streets, shops and cafes. The hotel, 15-minute from the Port of Piraeus, provides free shuttle service to the Acropolis and city center. There are two restaurants, two bars, and a lounge to keep many guests at the hotel. The hotel provides different complimentary services, including shoeshine, newspaper in room and coffee / tea in room.

The hotel offers 314 deluxe rooms and 18 suites. Each guest accommodation is appointed with a high-speed Internet connection, plush bedding, in-room safe, cordless phones, iron and ironing board, television with over 20 international channels and mini bar. The plush bedding includes cotton-rich linens, custom duvets and down comforters.

Amenities offered

Guests can tone up their bodies in the Health club. They can taste Polynesian and Mediterranean food at Kona Kia and Zephyros Restaurant respectively. The lobby lounge has perfect atmosphere and amenities to unwind after a long day of sightseeing and / or business discussions. There is a rooftop pool for sunbathing and swimming. Though guest rooms have only wired Internet, meeting rooms and public areas feature both wired and wireless Internet connection. There are a dozen meeting rooms. This modern property offers an array of amenities for a comfortable stay. But there are no onsite recreational facilities except a swimming pool. Guests can enjoy jet skiing, sailing, golf, bowling and biking at the nearby sites. Many guests were fully satisfied with everything, such as good breakfast, pool, plush and comfy beds, service, restaurant, views and shuttle service. But the flipside of the hotel is that all rooms do not have good views and its slightly off center location. A few guests disliked exteriors, inconsistent service and expensive food.
