We enjoyed our short stay with you. We feel we picked a good place, close to the airport, the shuttle service was fast and efficient. The breakfast was perfect and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks again
Frankfurt Albatross Airport Hotel - posted on 03/19/2007
This hotel is fine, but kind of far away to be called an airport hotel. It's 20 min by taxi (25 euros), although there is public transportation and in theory there is a shuttle van. At night better just take a taxi.

perfect for stopover and even longer weekend
Albatros and car rental - posted on 11/01/2006
Rooms small but adequate, no evening dining. HOWEVER, finding the hotel that evening was not so easy; our Navi GPS got us there but I am not sure we could have done it otherwise. So-best to turn in the car first then take the shuttle to hotel. The car return was not easy to find - look for a not too conspicuous "Rent-a-Car" sign just before Terminal 1.
very good stopover - posted on 08/17/2006
I had a stop over in Frankfurt to change my plan. So I planed to book a hotel next to the airport. The Albatros Hotel offers a shuttle service so I booked this one. The rooms were very nice for the offered price and the breakfast was more then enough. all in all the hotel offered very good service for a very small price!
very good hotel for small money - posted on 07/30/2006
the shuttle service was great, I just needed to call the hotel and it arrived after about 10 minutes. I needed to work in the internetcafe which was free of charge but a bit slow the room was clean and the breakfast fresh and good

This hotel is about 3 stars out of 5. The rooms are clean but small and there is no air conditioning so they are very hot in the summer. You can walk to many sites from the hotel and they do have a free shuttle from the airport. You need to call once you land for the shuttle. Breakfast is very nice and the staff that serve you are good. The desk clerks are not very helpful with local information and may even give you bad advice. There is a mini mall that you can walk to about 6 blocks from the hotel, and town is about another 10 minute walk from the mini mall.
It was an experience - posted on 03/25/2006
I booked and paid for a 'king supreme'. The first room I was given had a single room, and looked more like a dorm room. The second room had three single beds. They pushed two together to get the 'king supreme'. There is no clock in the room. The walls are thin. I had to call to the hotel to have them pick me up at the airport - very inconvenient when arriving at 9:00PM.

The hotel was alright and the price was nice; however, the night desk attendent was very rude.
Albatross Hotel very GOOD - posted on 10/04/2005
Albatross hotel is not "fancy" but had very good shuttle service to local train sta. and back to airport. Staff was friendly, helpful & spoke good English. Good breakfast!

The shuttle service was very convenient. The rooms were not large, but quite adaquate. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were quite fluent in English and very helpful. It was a reasonably good neighborhood for walking (not particularly scenic, but lots of sidewalks). The food prices in the dining room were somewhat steep and the portions modest, but there were a couple of other places to eat within 50 yards of the front door.. An excellent value for the money overall.

the front desk clerk was very nice and spoke english well. the rooms were smaller than the looked in the picture. however they were clean and quite. my only concern was that when i wanted to leave ( I had a taxi waiting and it was 5 am) i found the front door locked and it took awhile to get someone to unlock it. the taxi fare was 22 euros. i would stay ther again.
