About the Villa Beaumarchais

Located on the outskirts of Marais and near the Chemin Vert station you can easily get to all of these Paris attractions: Opéra Bastille, Le Marais, le Cirque d'Hiver,Place de la République, Gare de Lyon, and Place des Vosges. Just realize that they are not around the corner.
This cozy little hotel does its best to combine the old with the new. The rooms are small by American standards and are a bit worn but are very clean and the staff is gracious and accommodating. They also all speak English, to varying degrees. There is also a very nice green house where you can have breakfast each morning.
There is a bar in the hotel but it is rarely occupied. The lobby has newspapers for you to read and a computer that you can check your emails on for a fee.
If you are eager to try some of Paris' famous cuisine, you can choose to eat at one of the local cafes or have room service delivered.
This is a good hotel if you want a clean, decent place to stay without paying a fortune. However, it is not ideal if you want to be very close to Paris' main attractions.

If you are used to staying in a 3 star American hotel then this is probably right up your alley. The rooms are small but clean and the staff is very gracious. You have very close access to the metro so you can get around Paris fairly easily.
I do not recommend this hotel if you want to be within walking distance of the main Paris attractions. They are not close. I also do not recommend it if you are put off by some wear and tear.
Consider this as more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The rooms are well decorated but are not brand new. The atmosphere is quiet. You are in a neighborhood and it has that feel to it.
I do recommend it if you want a more authentic feel of Paris. You are not among a million tourists here. Instead, you are part of a small community. Read our customer reviews?

Villa Beaumarchais Accommodations

This charming little hotel has small, clean rooms with attached bathrooms that have bathtubs and showers. The bathrooms all come with bathrobes, slippers, phones and heated towel racks.
The room itself comes with room service, wi-fi access, and satellite tv, pay tv, mini bar, safe and air conditioning. The staff is also quite eager to make sure that you have whatever you need.

Amenities offered

There is a lovely greenhouse with palm trees where you can have breakfast or enjoy in the evening and a library with fireplace, books and newspapers. There are also two meeting rooms for business clients. Three blocks away is a gym that hotel gets you access to for a discounted price.

Exit on the ring road Porte de Bercy. Follow the riverside in the direction of Paris centre. Exit on Bastille.
From Place de la Bastille take the boulevard Beaumarchais , then fifth street on your left, rue des Arquebusiers.
The hotel is in the corner.
