We just returned from a fabulous business/pleasure trip to Quebec City. We spent hree nights at the frontenac. Our room was very small but with a lovely view. The rose room was where we ate our meals. The staff was very efficient and the food amazingly good! The concierge gave us wrong directions and we were very unimpressed with the one we spoke to. Unfortunately the basement bathrooms were abysmmal but all in all the stay was enjoyable and the history of the building and its grandeur is undeniable. It's worth a stay if you can overlook a few minor details.

We take a vacation to Quebec City every year and we only stay at Le Chateau Frontenac. It's just a five hour drive, but feels like worlds away. We love it in January, but will be going again in November.

I splurged and stayed in one of their largest suites. The room was about 550 square feet with 2 beds and a sofa bed. Our room was located in one of the turrets so there were 3 windows with views of the river, the park/street performers, and Old Quebec. Maid service wasn't great but customer service jumped to correct oversights. Very pricey though, I would stay in a hotel with a jacuzzi in it for much less money next visit.

What a great hotel! Wonderful service and large rooms. You are within walking distance of all of Old Quebec. Only distraction was that our room was below the gym and folks were dropping free weights on the floor early in the morning. Expensive, but worth it! It was a great weekend escape.
