Customer Reviews for The Suites at 1 King West

Fabulous place for a working vacation - posted on 05/17/2007

The room was exceptional. I particularly loved the corner double window nook in which they had perched a desk in which to work. I was on the 29th floor so had a spectacular view as well. There was a washer , dryer, refrigerator and microwaver. I could have easily lived there practically forever. The location was perfect.

Nice place to stay but I have had better experienc - posted on 03/19/2007

I loved the room and the view. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room service breakfast was awful and expensive. Would not order that again. I have stayed here twice and love the location.

So bad hotel I've ever been to with this price. This one is not for business traveler for someone who wants to cook and clean dishes and clothes... Hotel doesn't have adaptor for consent. building is divided into old section and new section high place. I was located in the low stair with nothing to see outside hidden by the other building less than 10 meters away So awful... I will never come again.

Disappointing - posted on 01/30/2007

When checking in asked for room in new tower, got what had to be the worst room in old part of hotel. Hotel was not busy. Odd shaped room, had a washer and dryer but no soapdish in shower. Counter staff was snotty. Valet car service great, but not told about it by counter staff.

Good times at 1 King West - posted on 01/16/2007

I would strongly reccomend this hotel and would stay there again. A few tips will make your stay even better. Ask for a room in the HISTORIC part of the building, the suites are larger, have a better layout. The 11th floor of the historic was great. Its worth sacrificing the "view" for more sensible space. Do go to HY'S STEAKHOUSE - Bardi's is also a great choice, as is Amadeus. The hotel as a whole is not typical in the sense that any type of room service or extra's are very reasonable and has great in-room amenities. Finally, the hotel is a great bargin and a recognized location.

Very nice place - posted on 12/26/2006

Great place. Only issues were parking was $30 night, rollout bed was $25 night and no free wireless.

Great stay. Room updated and well equipped. Very good location but difficult to get to due to one way streets.

Fantastic! - posted on 10/21/2006

The Suites was an excellent hotel, with more features tha we were able to use, though we would like to return someday and try again. Flawless booking process, friendly staff, so many benefits we were unaware of. For example, free transport to our concert via one of the hotel's cars (we took the vintage Rolls Silver Cloud, why not go in style?), washers and dryers in the room. You must talk to the concierege! So much to do, not nearly enough time.....when we go back, this is where we'll stay.

The Suites, Toronto - posted on 10/20/2006

We had a standard suite at The Suites at 1 Kings St West, Toronto. Very nicely appointed, with fridge, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer (soaps are slightly extra). For $5/night, we had good high speed internet access and FREE CALLS TO ALL OF NORTH AMERICA. Quiet, immaculate, great location.

Old gold - posted on 09/30/2006

Suites in the historical part of the bldg are larger and seemed better furnished than those in the tower. So unless you really crave a view, I'd recommend the historical. Both are well appointed and verycomfortable and include washer/dryer and dishwasher as well as computer hook up. Walking distance to good restaurant choices.

Nice But Not Perfect - posted on 09/25/2006

No wireless internet, also not free. Parking prices were outrageous at $30/day. Small odd size rooms. This is a condo/hotel, don't expect the kind of look and feel of a 4 star Marriott, Sheraton, etc. Get a room in Tower, not historic bldg. Great service. SMALL exec lap pool.

I will go again. - posted on 09/20/2006

I was looking to be close to the Rogers Centre for the Blue Jays game we treated our son and daughter-in-law to. Our suites were spacious, well-appointed, with lots of mirrors arranged to be able to view your outfit from every angle. But the best appointments are the skylights and the terrace, with a view to Lake Ontario. The price was great, and I will definitely book there again.

Unique, well located hotel - posted on 09/16/2006

This hotel is located right above the underground shopping / subway. The most unique feature is that the hotel has drivers to transport guests to anywhere in the city (and you can call for a ride back). Transport is in antique limosenes such as a '73 Rolls Royce, a '62 Cadillac limo, etc. Service was great, the rooms are nice and clean and the facility is beautiful. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we are in Toronto!

Stay here! - posted on 09/15/2006

Service was truly amazing at every turn, consistently exceeding my expectations. Room & view were exquisite. Food (in restaurant and room service) was consistently delicious. Only downside: Both hot tubs were cold one day, but that's a minor complaint in an overall fabulous stay. One suggestion: wireless internet access throughout hotel would be helpful.

Great Place - posted on 09/13/2006

Fantasic view, we were on the 40th floor. Great location attached to the "pathway" and subway. Good value for the money, $250 for a full 1 bedroom with a Kitchen, washer and dryer. Close to all attractions in the financial district. Best for couples, business.

Suites and 1 King West - posted on 08/31/2006

We would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is literally smack in the middle of downtown and right next to the metro/subway station. The price was very reasonable. The room was very clean and had neat contemporary design. Our suite had pretty much anything you might need ? washer/dryer, microwave, DVD player, fridge? The staff was very helpful and courteous. We loved our stay at this hotel.

Fantastic Property - posted on 08/07/2006

What's not to like about this hotel? We've stayed at a dozen others and this one is a new favorite. The fabulous amenities such as granite countertops, microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, compact dishwasher and washer/dryer, CD player, and flat screen TV made our stay much more comfortable. The hotel is new, contemporary, in a great location with breathtaking views, and on top of a subway stop, and best of all, the staff was friendly and professional. We will definitely return.

visit to The Suites - posted on 07/07/2006

We stayed here when we visited Toronto for a friend's wedding. We liked the hotel but the rooms are small and there is no counter space in the bathroom. Also there is no bathtub in the bathroom only a shower.

I was in town for a conference and found this hotel on line. I couldn't believe that I found such a nice modern room in a historic building right downtown for only $*...I am still amazed. Great place and I will definitely stay there again

Comfort and Convenient - posted on 03/13/2006

On a business trip to Toronto I stayed at the new 1 King West and it was so comfortable and conveniently located to my meetings. I went to the ACC and Hockey Hall of Fame all with in walking distance.
