We had a wonderful night. We were upgraded to the Gold Floor which provided a very comfortable lounge area; a relaxing place to sit and have a light snack and drink other than sitting in our room.

Very friendly atmosphere, wonderful service.

We found it difficult to locate the elevators to the parking garage. More direction from the lobby floor would be helpful.

It is a beautiful place on the surface and the location is fantastic, but for the cost of the room there is surprisingly little that you do not pay for $26 a day for parking, $1.50 to make a local call, $15 a day for the internet, $8 for a bottle of water. Honestly, I am amazed there was not a charge to take ice from the ice machines.

Great location, fancy lobby.

Nickel and dime you for everything. Nothing is complimentary.

The Fairmont Royal York, one of the best downtown Toronto hotels, won Meetings and Incentive Travel Magazines The Readers Choice Award for excellent service. The plush hotel has everything, including refined accommodations, restaurants, lounges, professional concierge, gift shops, plush surroundings and well-equipped business center. This skyscraper property is connected to Underground City and located next to the Union Station.

There are 1,365 smoking and non-smoking accommodations. The Fairmont Gold Floor has separate lounge area and private concierge. The opulent, non-smoking Signature Rooms feature pillow-top mattresses, wide screen televisions, CD players and current magazines besides regular amenities. There are eight fully accessible rooms, featuring lowered light switches, lowered peepholes, lowered thermostats, wider doorways, grab bars in bathrooms, raised toilets and level door handles.

This luxurious and classy hotel is a good place for travelers with deep pockets. Most of the guests appreciated cordial and helpful staff, location, well-maintained and comfy accommodations, excellent food, décor, gym and pool. But small rooms, overpriced food, rude staff and cost were major concerns of a few guests.
