The entire hotel is awesome /inviting, the staff was courteous/prompt. Toronto is friendly- although most were visitors (little help directions). We managed since locations are walking distance/quick train ride. Skip the $30+ taxi/shuttle and take a $2.50 train ride to union station, which is two blocks from the hotel. The Azure has nice d?r, but the food needs improvement. The local restaurants and room service are great! The nightlife was excellent! DJ?s played ole school & r&b to pop & house, my Sis and I, danced until 4 am. Enjoy the fitness center and beautiful pool/Jacuzzi, as well!
Spa not family friendly - posted on 07/11/2006
"Children" are only allowed to swim from 3-5 pm. During our allotted swimming time, the spa staff gave the rules and enforced them to the degree you could not enjoy it. Another guest under the age of 18 entered the pool disregarding every rule, when asked why this was allowed for others but not for us,the spa staff called security! We will definitely not stay there again. Not a good place for a family that has children.
Great Place to Stay in T.O. - posted on 06/02/2006
Great location and outstanding service (esp. concierge). Spa was under construction, so a little inconvenient. Fitness room is one of nicest I've seen in a hotel. An outdoor area to lounge (pool is indoors) would be nice. Overall, a great experience.

Very nice hotel, if you need anything they arrange it for you. Good location but a bit pricy.

My husband and I had tickets to a Blue Jays game and wanted a hotel nearby. I found a "GoodBuy" rate for the Intercontinental and was fortunate that they had a vacancy since we made arrangement only a couple of weeks prior to the game. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, comfortable and stylish with a great view of Lake Ontario, the CN Tower and the Skydome. The parking rate was pretty stiff (especially valet), but since we got a good rate on the room, it didn't bother us too much. We will definitely return.
Nice, clean rooms - posted on 03/29/2005
Stayed in Jr Suite. Room was very clean and semi-suite sized. Marble bathroom was quite small. We liked the corner room with one wall of blackout curtain for sleeping in. Enjoyed the choice of pillows, complimentary Internet and morning newspaper (of your choice for suites). Best for just relaxin or business/conventioneers as it's in the business district adjacent to CC. Next time I'll be staying closer to action. A four star hotel (with 5 star prices in the hotel bar).

This hotel is fabulous! New, luxurious, and the location on Front St is perfect. The guest rooms are very big, and beautifully decorated. The views are spectacular. We had dinner in the restaurant and again..nothing bad to say. Just a great hotel!
Not Family Friendly - posted on 01/17/2005
My family came to Toronto hoping to enjoy a great family vacation. The rooms were nicely appointed but they were not at all family friendly. The pool has restricted hours of 7a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. I don't know about you but my kids donnot like to get up at 7 a.m. when we are on vacation and that was there weekend hours they are even more restricted during the week.

I travel alot on business and this hotel is one of the better hotels I have had the opportunity to stay in during my lifetime. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms on the upper floors are renovated equally as nice. The lower floors are not renovated and not as nice. If I was coming to Toronto as tourist I would stay more towards the Yorkville area but this hotel is great for business and people who are attending functions at the convention center and the Air Canada Center or Skydome. Beautful views out of the hotel, some directly of the CN tower and Lake Ontario. Service was great.
