Checkout - posted on 01/21/2006
The only problem I had was the automated checkout on the T.V. was not working. Other than that, my stay was enjoyable and comfortable, and when next staying in the city, I will more than likely stay at the Harbour Castle

The Westin Harbour Castle is a tremendous place to stay. Very helpful and friendly staff everywhere. Miszen restaurant has terrific food. Convenient location within walking distance to SkyDome, CN Tower and other downtown attractions. I would definitely stay there again next time in Toronto and would highly recommend the hotel.

Excellent service. Low staff to guest ratio. View on Toronto harbor side of ferry slips and Toronto Islands is great. Ease of getting around city from this less congested area is excellent. Very attentive staff. You name it and it happens. Rooms spacious but not large. Internet access charges of $10/24 hours via cable or $6/hour wireless in lobby seemed uncompetitive. Banquet and meeting meals were excellent in terms of selection, quality, preparation and service. Parking charges of $30/day valet and $17/day self-park.

Especially pleased with the location within walking distance of the hockey arena and baseball facility. Had read that the area was not the best, but we felt sale and had no problems walking around the area.
Not the Best that Toronto Has to Offer - posted on 05/03/2006
I stayed here for a weekend in May of 2005. The room was obscene. The decor had not been updated in years. There was paint flaking on the walls. The air vent was full of dust and the air conditioner didn't work. Not to mention the bed!! Apparently not all rooms have Heavenly beds as advertised. Some friends and I went to brunch on the Saturday and spent over $100.00 on a bagel, a fruit bowl, 3 glasses of juice, 2 coffees, an order of pancakes and an order of waffles - way too overpriced for the type of food that we were served. I won't be going back there anytime in the near future.

Beautiful hotel. Everything exceptional EXCEPT fire alarm at 2:30 am -- seems to be common complaint of previous guests (we know 3 people who stayed at various times who experienced false alarms). Why?
Really Good Hotel - posted on 01/11/2006
We stayed during Christmas and got a great rate (half-price). The beds (and bathrobes) were great, as was the service. Front desk was accommodating. I itched fom the bedclothes though.
Noise Complaint - posted on 10/20/2005
Our stay was very good, with the exception of one problem, we were awoken very early on Saturday morning, there was a constant banging on the pipes in the room next door, reported it to the hotel management, and we never did receive a response, apology or acknowledgement of our complaint. I filled out the hotel survey when we checked out and noted the above again, not sure that I will get a response.

Our stay there was everything we had hoped for and more. The bed was very comfortable; the room very clean and fresh. If we were to return to your city we would very likely stay at the same hotel. We have recomended your hotel to all of our friends. Thank you
Very Nice - but hotel was oversold. - posted on 09/16/2005
We were dismayed to think that at 2pm we were being told the hotel was oversold and they absolutely had no room to give us. The alternate hotel they offered was at the airport. Finally, an hour or so later, they let us into our room. Be careful if you are not with a conference - -they appeared to try to give priority to their groups when oversold.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to everything. Hotel resteraunt is also nice. Pool area very clean and not to crowded.
Late Honeymoon - posted on 07/31/2005
The hotel service was extradornaire. They were of great assistance with planning for my honeymoon. A+ for service. However, we felt that parking should have been included in our hotel stay. We had to pay $17/day to park two blocks away or $30/day for valet at the hotel. For the price parking should definitely be a part of the deal. The featured restaurants were a bit expensive even at breakfast time. We spent most of our mornings at a nearby cafe. Hotel was in great location to the downtown area. No rental car needed.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. I prearranged for the hotel flower shop to nicely decorate my room upon arrival. Very NICE!!! Excellent view of Lake Ontario. Food was a little expensive. But great location in the city for all main attractions. Also Hotel has package deals to Niagara Falls!!!
Highly Recommended - posted on 07/10/2005
I frequently travel in and out of toronto, and The Westin Harbour Castle is by far the best hotel I've stayed at. I was highly pleased with the quality of the service I received, and the presentation of the rooms and the hotel itself. The staff there is very pleasant, patient and they really enjoy their job. I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in toronto.
Excellent facilities - posted on 01/10/2005
The hotel was a little on the expensive side. However, the location, the staff, the condition of the room, and the facilities were all excellent. High security for that particular night as well, which was something of a comfort.
