The hotel is only three stories and is not too fancy, but it is in a fun location right next to Byword market. The noise from the bars can be heard at night, but it is not overwhelming. A good choice if you are looking for convenience to shopping, restaurants, and nightlife and do not need complete silence to sleep.

Located downtown in Ottawas ByWard Market, the Courtyard Marriott offers spacious guestrooms and a restaurant that is open daily for breakfast. This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you dont want to drive while on vacation. Shopping is abundant in downtown Ottawa, as are bars and restaurants. Many of the city's museums are within walking distance, as are any of the many festivals that take place throughout the year. The Ottawa bus system (OC Transpo) is exceptional, if you decide to stray further.

Location alone gets this hotel points in my book. If you want to be in the center of the action, with shopping and culture all around, this is the hotel for you! The whirlpool and pool are a welcoming way to relax after a long day of sight-seeing.
