The Niagara Falls area is quite simply beautiful. It is filled with fantastic shops, great restaurants, world-class casinos and home to one of the Natural Wonders of the World, the Niagara Falls. Long before you actually see the falls, you can hear the rush of the water. As you approach the fantastic site, you will be amazed at how big it really is. You can view the falls in many different ways. Choose to walk around the observation area that surrounds it, or grab a ride on the Maid of the Mist Steamboat Company. Raincoats are available, and you will need them when you see the falls up close... really close. You can also get a rear view of the falls on a tour called Journey Behind the Falls. For a unique, all encompassing view, choose a helicopter tour as it takes you above for a fantastic look at it all. Whatever way you choose to see it, make sure you bring something to protect you from the spray of the water. As beautiful as the falls are during the day, you will love them even more at night when they are illuminated. It is really a site to see.
Although the major attraction seems to be the falls, the city of Niagara Falls is beautiful, filled with parks, lakes and gorgeous homes. There are many historical sites worth exploring as well. The area within one kilometer of the falls is jammed pack with funky restaurants and crazy sites. Visit the Ripley’s Believe it or Not attraction and you will see interesting, and weird, items from around the globe. Even the building itself is worth a visit. Another great site is the Rock Legend Wax Museum. See your favorites like Elvis, Snoop Dog, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, and many more. The artists who have created these fantastic replicas have done a fantastic job - you almost feel like you could ask one for an autograph. But don’t, because you’d look kinda silly doing it. It is probably safe to assume that the second reason Niagara Falls is such a popular destination is because of its casinos. Casino Niagara is a beautiful building close to the falls, so if you are not enjoying the cards you are holding, you can at least look outside and enjoy the natural beauty. The other casino in the Fallsview area, aptly named Niagara Fallsview, is also part of a luxury resort. This area houses the Galleria, a street-long shopper’s heaven of exclusive boutiques as well as a 1500 seat theater where top-notch entertainment is held throughout the year. With all the natural beauty surrounding you, make sure to find one of the numerous trails for a great bike ride or jog. The scenery will take your breath away… or it could be the exercise. Either way, you will love all the great views.

Niagara Falls is located in an internationally recognized wine region. The climate is perfect for growing fantastic grapes, ideal for making delicious wines. There are wine tours available that range from sophisticated winemaking facilities to family-run estates. There is a huge selection of golf courses in this area as well. In fact, the Niagara Region has one of the highest concentrations of golf courses in North America. Don’t worry though. The falls aren’t close to any of the water hazards on the courses. It would be hard to enjoy everything this area has to offer in just one day. Make the trip out here and explore the many sights, sounds and tastes that make up this beautiful city.
