Chain: Super 8
Functional - posted on 01/20/2006
Found the room small but functional. Would suggest an alarm clock in the room or better yet an alarm/radio. A TV Channel guide card would have been appreciated.
Horrible place to stay - posted on 05/14/2007
The entrance smelled like garbage, there was mold on the shower curtain, the front lobby was worn and drab, there were smokers in the non-smoking area, the mattress was horrible.
Super 8? Really - posted on 05/12/2007
I am shocked a chain would put their name on this shoebox....i will never ever stay at a Super 8 or punish anyone else by telling them to do so....ok....maybe the in-laws

You call this a motel?????? - posted on 01/15/2007
I am not kidding, my closet at home has more space than these rooms. I had to turn my body to get by the bed, the front door cant open without hiting the table, the bathroom door cant open all the way. I cant belive Super 8 would actually put thier name on this showbox
not impressed - posted on 01/10/2007
room was full of bread-like crumbs, smelt like old socks in the hall ways. No one was ever at the desk readily avail. We had 4 ppl in the room,we asked for more towels & they came back with 2 small towels.Power went out in the morning, took them 1 hour 'fix' the problem by switching us to the other room to use.rooms are extremely small, not impressed at all. would not return.

The Super 8 did not have hot water for morning shower- it was barely luke warm. The decor was old; the motel requires a face lift. The shower head was not completely in working order and we had to wait half and hour until the heater warmed up our room. We would have gone to another hotel had we not alread checked in.

I would give the hotel a rating of 0 if possible. The rooms were terrible (faulty locks, dangling smoke detector). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY

The Super 8 Motel Kingston was fine, but I think its' breakfast could improve a lot.
Extremely poor experience - posted on 01/20/2006
We arrived in our room and noticed that a loud rock band was practicing in a nearby building. The attendant refused to give us another room, suggesting that we wait a while and if the racket didn't stop they'd call the police. The room was extremely small and badly maintained. One light in the restroom didn't function. Some old spills, the remains of a shoddy paint job embellished the treshhold of the bathroom door. The towels we were provided with were in fact bath towels that thad been ripped in two. In addition, they were used raw. We paid $100, which I'm tempted to call gouging. The room was not worth $30.
well prices, clean - posted on 11/22/2005
most surprising feature was the wireless internet, which they provide for free. its accessible only in the lobby area, but a definate asset. i travel alot beacuse of my work, so this definately came in handy. rooms were small but clean and cosy. the front desk staff is very young, hip, knowlegeable and friendly! good stay.
Worst Stay Ever - posted on 08/04/2005
Stinky, dirty, rusty, extremely expensive, rude staff, just one big dump. WHen I called Super 8 to complain, they only offered a discount on the same Super 8 in Kingston. Like I am ever going to stay there again.
Shoddy, shoddy, shoddy... - posted on 07/26/2005
I am totally unsatisfied. When we arrived, we noticed that we were located at about 10 feet from the neighbouring property, where Ozzy Osbourne wannabes were loudly practicing metal rock. The room was tiny and very badly maintained: the wallpaper was starting to peel in many places. Two light bulbs out of four were burned out in the bathroom. The bathroom door frame showed evidence of an ancient and very shoddy paint job, complete with dried paint spatter on the doorstep. There was no hot water in the morning so we had to shower with lukewarm-cold water. As for the bath towels, we noticed that they were in fact full-sized bath towels that were cut (or torn) in two pieces. Im wondering whether I would have even used them as rags at home and Im not exaggerating. Of course, neither a hair-dryer nor complimentary shampoo were offered As for service we needed bottled water so we went to the desk. The poor attendant didn't even have the key for the room where bottled water was kept. If I had paid $50, I wouldn't have had any expectations. At $119 I was grossly and outrageously overcharged. My advice: stay clear...

This was a total disappointment. The place smelled, they charged more for the rate than was confirmed in the reservation, the room was worn, dirty, stained, damaged artwork. No room in bath to turn around!
