Truro is a quaint town located along the Salmon River. It is filled with activities for those who love to explore the outdoors and for those who prefer to stay indoors. There are great boutiques, beautiful golf courses and parks found throughout the area. Victoria Park is one of the most visited parks and spreads over a thousand acres. You will come across picturesque waterfalls, great picnic areas, playgrounds and many wonderful paths. Truro also attracts those interested in the natural phenomenon that occurs in the Salmon River. Its tidal bore, which is a type of tidal wave, is one of the largest in North America and is one of a few places in the world that has this occurrence.

While exploring all that this great place has to offer, keep your eyes open for the wooden sculptures located throughout the city. The Dutch Elm disease affected many of the massive trees found here but instead of leaving them to rot, artists created fantastic sculptures out of them. How many do you think you could find?
