Sydney

Sydney can be found on Cape Breton Island, which is part of Nova Scotia. There are a number of churches located around Sydney, with each offering something unique. St. Patrick’s Church Museum was built back in 1828 and it is one of the oldest churches on the island. The Holy Ghost Ukrainian Church is filled with fascinating artifacts and decorations and the St. Phillips Church is the one of the only African Orthodox churches in Canada. See when the service times are and experience what they have to offer even further.

Wentworth Park is located in the heart of Sydney. The ponds, pathways and picnic areas draw locals and tourists alike. Keep your eyes open for the ducks eager to share your lunch with you though. Golfing in, or near, Sydney is a treat as well, whether you truly are a golf pro or simply claim to know one. The Sydney Harbor and the boardwalk leading to it is filled with people enjoying the beautiful views. Sydney truly is a great place to enjoy some of great outdoors Nova Scotia has to offer.

Not bad. I live in Halifax. Sydney is hospitable and very comfortable. I like the wideness of Kings Road and the water frontage is very pretty. I understand the area had economic difficulties in the past and it still hasnt picked up to the year round speed of Halifax. Nevertheless, it has potential.
