Moncton Hotel Guide Cheap Moncton Hotels

Moncton provides you with some of the very best the Maritimes has to offer. Fantastic beaches, historic sites, amazing seafood creations and friendly people all help create a wonderful environment for you to enjoy a memorable holiday.

Magnetic Hill is a perfect example of a traditional Maritime fishing village. Wandering through its streets and exploring the quaint stores provide you with a taste of what life was like when these villages were in their prime. Speaking of taste, you could also enjoy the delicious treats in the Beavertails Pastry shop or enjoy a tasty ice cream cone. Just keep your eyes open for the ducks and geese that waddle throughout the village as well... they seem to enjoy the treats almost as much as we do. Of course the natural beauty that flourishes here can be seen at almost every corner of the city. However, the Tidal Bore is an amazing display of the natural wonders that abound here.

You could take a short drive and make your way to one of two national parks that are about an hour away. Both the Fundy National Park and the Kouchibouguac National Park are beautiful places to explore. Located near the Confederation Bridge lies the Cape Jourimain National Wildlife Preserve. It is a must for anyone who loves bird watching.Close to the Fundy National Park sits Cape Enrage. This is the place to see an historic lighthouse, walk the ocean floor, climb ocean cliffs and simply enjoy the stunning scenery New Brunswick has to offer. One of the best reasons for coming though is to enjoy the view. It is one of the very best the entire nation has to offer. Make sure you pack your camera. Hopewell Rocks is about an hour away from Moncton but is definitely worth the trip. Claiming to have the highest tides in the world, you can explore the ocean floor without getting wet!

Moncton draws its fair share of impressive performers. La Pays de la Sagouine is the place to enjoy a fantastic dinner theatre show. The music, scrumptious food and theatre are sure to entertain you throughout the entire evening. Make your way to the Moncton Coliseum Complex whether you are looking to sing along with your favorite band, cheer at a sporting event or take part in the tradeshows. The restored Capitol Theatre is another great venue for the numerous cultural events that take place here.

It seems whatever season you come, there is a festival just waiting to get started. April hosts the Northrop Frye Literary Festival, which is the place to go if you are an author. The spring Hubcap Comedy Festival is a must for those who want to bust a gut. The Atlantic Nationals Automotive Extravaganza held in July is a must for anyone who loves engines and the annual Atlantic Seafood Festival is fantastic summer treat in August. November offers you the amazing World Wine and Food Exposition, an event that provides you with some of the best wine found around the globe.

Shediac is only a half hours drive from Moncton. One of the many benefits of its Northumberland Strait is that it provides both locals and tourists fabulously warm waters. The beaches that line its banks are filled with people eager to soak up the rays and enjoy the great water activities. Another great reason to visit Shediac is for its world-famous Lobster Festival. It has been around for well over 50 years... and there is good reason why thousands of participants return year after year. Held in the beginning of July, you will enjoy a childrens parade, great concerts and feast on so much lobster you just might turn a nice shade of red.

Whether you come for the festivals, great sites or simply want to enjoy the beautiful scenery, Moncton welcomes you with open arms.
