The hotel had a good water slide, hot tub and lounge. The staff was great, however, they were doing upgrading of the heating system and our room was cold for part of our stay. We were provided with a heater though and the showers were hard to control the temperature (they are upgrading this also).
Friendly staff, ambiance.
Shower needed upgrading.

This is a fairly nice hotel if you want an economy hotel in the Downtown area with a free airport shuttle service and a decent restaurant. However, there is no free parking and the parking in the parked across the street is not patrolled. The area of the hotel is not the greatest area of town but not the worse. I avoided the bar due to the outside patrons.
Hotel was close to my destination, was economical and had a basic gym.
They had a billiards bar frequented by non-staying guests.

Grand old hotel a block from portage & main a bit dated but still a nice place to stay. Close to shopping, theaters, dinning.
Walking distance to downtown sights and shopping.
No secured parking.

All of the 148 non-smoking rooms are laden with coffeemakers, wireless Internet access, hairdryers, cable/satellite TV with pay-per-view capabilities, iron & ironing board and a complimentary newspaper. Also available are 10 suites, 2 with Jacuzzis.
Amenities offered
The Ramada Marlborough boasts a fitness centre, as well as a swimming pool and whirlpool area, complete with a waterslide. After a quick dip, feel free to get your hair done at the Salon de Riel, located downstairs on the main level. The Ramada is walking distance to the MTS Centre, as well as CanWest Global Park. The airport is easily accessible with a free shuttle service. The hotel hosts the Regal Beagle, an English-style pub, as well as Joanne's Cafe and Churchill's, a fine dining establishment renowned for its cathedral type ceilings and stained glass windows. Also, the hotel is in the same building as the Garrick Conference and Entertainment Centre, popular with business-people for presentations and lectures.

Definitely! The space in this review doesn't allow for all of the potential amazingness the Ramada Marlborough has to offer, not only as a hotel, but in its proximity to all things interesting in Winnipeg. Sports fans will be appeased by both the MTS Centre and the CanWest Global baseball park. Young folks will be pleased by the plethora of nightclubs all within walking distance and everyone else will be elated with the incredibly easy access to everything else Winnipeg bears.
