Beausejour is located in an ideal spot. It is close to the famous Winnipeg beaches and only a short drive away from Winnipeg, Manitoba’s capital city. Whether you drive through or are spending a few days here, this growing city has great venues and events to keep you busy.
Beausejour is home to the Broken-Beau Pioneer Village Museum. Immigrants who claimed this area as their homeland created an amazing village complete with a Canadian Pacific Railway, blacksmith shop, church, school and store. Wandering through here provides a glimpse into the heartaches many pioneers experienced and how they survived and flourished under the harsh conditions. The Manitoba Glass Works Historic Site is the location of one of the very first glass factories in Canada. Learning the history of how these products were created and the many expansions required to keep it in business provides great insight into this unique art form.
Curling in Manitoba is like surfing in California. Although not everyone knows the sport, the locals have all heard about it and pretty much know the rules. Beausejour is no exception. The curling club here is filled with people who definitely know the sport and has also been the location for many great tournaments. Housed in the Sun Gro Center, this location is also the site for local hockey games and public skating times. Another great Beausejour complex is the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships Raceplex, also known as the CPTC. Grandstands allowing viewers to see every inch of the races surround this state-of-the-art half-mile track.

Beausejour is a great place to enjoy some of the best scenery Manitoba has to offer whether you go golfing in the summer or snowmobiling in the winter. Plus there are great venues to enjoy a show or watch the races.
