About the Granville Island Hotel

The Granville Island Hotel is the only hotel located on Vancouver's Granville Island, a man-made island constructed originally as an industrial park. The island saw an overhaul with the participation of the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Society and Ocean Concrete (the island's largest remaining indicator of it's industrial past. Presently Granville Island is one of Vancouver's most vibrant communities, playing host to numerous festivals, housing many theaters and showcasing some of the city's most interesting small businesses. The Granville Island Hotel is a beautifully constructed boutique hotel that puts visitors in the very center of one of the city's greatest attractions.

The service provided by the hotel staff is tremendous and a large amount of positive reviews abound for this hotel. The only tricky situation is what room you find yourself in as some will obviously be more enjoyable than others. As for the location, Granville Island is a tourist hot-spot and chances are your travels will take you there one way or another. Actually staying on the Island affords the opportunity to become intimately acquainted with it. Having spent a great deal of time on Granville Island myself, I can safely say that the island has something for everyone...no matter what your interests. Read our customer reviews?

Granville Island Hotel Accommodations

The Granville Island Hotel offers both standard rooms and suites (executive & penthouse). No two rooms are exactly the same and specific bed types and/or views cannot be guaranteed with regards to standard room reservations. Some of the rooms will have water views and may be decorated with beamed ceilings, marble floors, soaker tubs and Persian rugs.

From the Airport:
Follow the signs into Vancouver. Take the Granville Street exit from the Arthur Lang Bridge and follow Granville Street to 16th Avenue.
Turn left on 16th Avenue and take the first right on Fir Street. Follow Fir Street to 2nd Avenue.
Turn right on 2nd Avenue. Turn left on Anderson street to enter Granville Island.
Once you enter the Island the road will automatically make you turn right onto Cartwright Street at the Kids Market.
Follow Cartwright Street to the very end as the hotel is located on the northeast tip of Granville Island where Cartwright meets Johnston Street.
The building is white with red trim and a fluorescent red sign that reads "The Granville Island Hotel."
Taxi Fare is approximately $25 CDN form the airport to the hotel.
