Excellent location for cruises starting in Vancouver - posted on 08/24/2006
We stayed 2 nights prior to our Alaska-cruise and one night after: they put excess-luggage needed to continue our holidays in Hawaii in their deposit which was very helpful. Excellent downtown location. Some of their staff were extremely polite and of great assistance. The rooms were standard and reflect what you may expect for the price.

Very friendly service. Nice sized rooms and bathroom. Centrally situated. Quiet. Very nice swimming pool and gym facilities for a hotel in the centre of a city. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the Metropolitan Hotel was wonderful. Conveniently situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver - easy walking from Canada Place and other sites. Service was very receptive and helpful. Room clean, and comfortable. We didn't try out the dining options, but plenty within walking distance. And not that expensive for what you get. Definitely recommend.

We ate at the in-hotel restaurant "Diva at the Met" and the food was, although pricey, FANTASTIC. We got an upgrade on the room, and the executive suite was nice, though a little small. Only complaint? The parking is so tight, spaces small, and difficult to get in and out of. I suggest Valet. The service from the hotel staff was excellent, they went out of their way to help.

The hotel is one of the best, however, there are better restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The Diva was the biggest disappointment, with a two hour wait and still no dinner.

My husband and I were very pleased with the service we received. Driving directions were very easy to follow, the hotel is very centrally located, just blocks from Robson & Granville Sts, rooms immaculate and well sized.

I was very pleased with our stay at the Metropolitan. It is conveniently located at the heart of downtown Vancouver, walking distance to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. I was very surprised on how spacious the rooms and especially the bathrooms were. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again on my next trip to Vancouver.

From the valet and front desk upon arrival onward, the Met offers great service and lovely rooms that make staying there a very positive experience. Dining at the Diva at the Met is a must! This is a wonderful boutique hotel with a fine restaurant and caring staff. We highly recommend the Met whether for business or personal travel.

My husband and I had a very relaxing time at the Metroplitan. Staff were always extremely helpful and kind. The concierge service is also great. Business and spa facilities are fantastic. Perfect location; could not be better. Highy recommended!

Marvelous location and the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever encountered. The restraunt located within the hotel, "Diva at the Met" is a must. Fine dining at its best!

It was a joy to stay in this hotel. Pleasant quiet rooms & courteous staff made it a delightul experience... only unpleasant surprise was a &8.50 charge for half a minute phone call to the US.

Two recently retired teachers chose Vancouver for a celebratory adventure. This hotel was exceptional, from the facility itself, lovely room and beds, location within walking distance of most everything, and the very charming and helpful concierge. Vancouver is fabulous (biking in Stanley Park, the Aquarium, art museum, and the International Film Festival) and our hotel added to our pleasure. Thank you.

Both the room and staff service of the Metropolitan was superb! The room was tastefull decorated with many special extra amenities. The concierge was especially helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for both business travellers and couples alike.

4 couples travel annually, one in charge. This year me and I chose Vancouver and Metropolitan Hotel. Both perfect. Good location. Not huge. Emplyees courteous. 2 concierges eager to help. Rooms spacious, clean, lovely, reasonable. Can walk everywhere--well, almost. Would go back again without even checking other hotels.

Was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the service level, and the rooms. Downstairs restaurant was really good. Location was great for exploring downtown Vancouver.

I stayed at the Metropolitan for ghts. I have traveled all over the world and I think this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, you can walk most anywhere in downtown Vancouver. The staff was terrrific and extremely attentive. The rooms are fair size, (great bathroom) and very clean and well kept. I not only highly recommend this hotel, I plan to go back.

This hotel is set in a great downtown location close to ports, restaurants and very convenient to downtown shopping centers. The hotel interior design is refined, sophisiticated and very comfortable. The Diva at the Met Restaurant located within the hotel serves some of the best gourmet surprises in the city.

Outstanding good service-staff were courteous and helpful. The room had a pleasant modern design with a marble bathroom and Molton Brown toiletries (nice touch). Highly recommended.

The hotel was in a great location in regards to downtown shopping and eating. the room we stayed in could have used some updating, but the bathroom was very spacious and nice.

The Metropolitan Hotel is conveniently located. Most city attractions are within walking distance. While the room was on the small size the marble bathroom was large and luxurious. The beds were comfortable. Recommended.

The service was very polite. I loved the Down pillows & Down comforter. The bathroom had marble tiles & the grout lines were almost all clean. The room was smaller than I'm used to in the states and the location was a bit of a walk from all the sights and bike rental places. Stanley park was beautiful and just biking around town was lovely. All in all it was a very fun trip.

A four-day stay with my family was made into a most memorable stay mostly because of the employees of this beautiful hotel. The accommodations were supurb, however the people in and around the hotel made our stay truly special! Thank you so very much!
