The Lion’s Gate Bridge crosses over the Burrard Inlet and connects Vancouver to the North Shore Mountains. BC depended a great deal on the shipbuilding industry when it first began and exploring the Britannia Heritage Shipyards provides you with great insight as to how this industry helped put it on the map. It should come as no surprise that BC has some of the finest dining available. The fresh produce and seafood help create delicious entrées sure to please the most discerning palate. There are also festivals that help showcase the meals to be had. A few worth mentioning include the Richmond Salmon Festival and Prince Rupert’s SeaFest. Should you be interested in creating your own feast, make your way to Granville Island. It is one of the best markets in the province and it is filled with everything you would need to create a fantastic dinner.

Butchart Gardens is home to over 5,000 plants and you will enjoy exploring it all. The Queen Elizabeth Park is also a stunning park that has a fantastic rose garden. For a more unique park make your way to the Thunderbird Park where handcrafted totem poles are on display. Stanley Park is not only the largest park in BC but also one of the largest in all of North America. In addition to the parks and great water activities, BC’s numerous mountain peaks have drawn adventurers for centuries. The hiking trails lead you through some of the most beautiful scenery you will have been blessed to see. Once the snow falls those paths are converted into fantastic ski runs sure to challenge even the most advanced skier or boarder. Whistler-Blackcomb, Panorama and Fernie are only a few of the slopes you can enjoy while visiting.

British Columbia is also a haven for those who love to shop. From quaint boutiques offering the latest trends to massive malls that house anything you could ever want, you can find what you are looking for. This province is also known for its creative side. Keep your eyes open for artists showcasing their latest creations.

Exploring everything BC has to offer will take much longer than a single visit but you can explore all that it has each time you come.
