Grand, contemporary hotel conveniently located downtown next to many eateries/pubs.

Modern, friendly, clean, grand, classy.

It did not have an espresso stand/coffee barista.

The amenities in the hotel were excellent. Outstanding staff in all areas. Very convenient downtown location. The room was well supplied with robes, hair dryer, iron, shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Typically high priced for a downtown hotel in terms of parking, mini-bar and phone service.

Exceptional courtesy by the entire hotel staff.

Room was comfortable but nothing special.

The Hyatt Regency Calgary is a modern luxury 355-room hotel located in the heart of downtown Calgary offering world-class facilities for both businessmen and vacationers. Close by is Stephen Avenue Walk, known for its theatres, shopping and entertainment. The hotel has full facilities for conventions, seminars and weddings. The property says it has the largest guest rooms of any hotel in Calgary. The city, known as the Gateway to the Rockies, is nearby points of interest which include Canada Olympic Park, Glenbow Museum, Stampede Park, Spruce Meadows, Calgary Zoo and Fort Calgary.

The 400 square-foot rooms come with the choice of king-size bed or two double beds with views of the city or the prairie. Décor is in neutral tones with birch wood furnishings and western Canadian artwork. The modern granite bathroom has a hair dryer and other amenities include work desk with Internet access, dual line speaker phones, minibar, coffee maker, cable TV, in-room Laptop safe and iron and ironing board.

Many leisure and business travelers who have stayed here noted that both the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and up-to-date. Most said the accommodation prices offered good value. There were complaints that the cost of drinks from the soda machines were very high and so was the cost of using the Internet. But nobody quibbled about the cost of dining here.
