There are many reasons to stay at the Banff Ptarmigan Inn. Its location, in the heart of downtown Banff, is superb. It is affiliated with the Caribou Ski and Snowboard School, a program that takes you to either of the three ski resorts in Banff. You get picked up and taken back to your hotel by a private van. As if that were not enough, rates at the Banff Ptarmigan Inn are affordable.

Banff Ptarmigan Inn Accommodations

The rooms at the Banff Ptarmigan Inn feature rustic furnishings. The superior rooms have artwork by some of Canada's best artists. The standard rooms are somewhat small. However, when in Banff most people do not spend too much time indoors.

Amenities offered

Amenities include free high speed Internet access and free transportation to various points in town. If you would rather not bring your laptop, there is an Internet kiosk available in the lobby for a small fee. The Caramba restaurant has fairly good food. All hotel guests receive a Best of Banff Discount Book.

If driving from Calgary to Banff, take the Trans-Canada Highway (also called Highway 1) west to the Banff exit, and follow the signs a short distance to Banff townsite. Approximate distance from the Calgary International Airport to the Banff townsite is 145 km (90 miles).
