Prior to the merger of Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Mirabel International Airport, Calgary ranked third for passenger movements in Canada. It is still the third busiest airport by aircraft movements. The airport is a major hub facility for Western Canada and is the home of WestJet Airlines as well as a secondary hub for Air Canada.
