It is estimated that Los Angeles International Airport is the world's fifth busiest airport. LAX served some 60 million passengers and more than 2 million tons of freight in 2004. International freight is more than 50 percent of this total. Along with special parking spaces, rampways and elevators, a free shuttle equipped with a lift for disabled persons in wheelchairs operates between Lot C and airline terminals. Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf (TDD) or speech-impaired are available in all terminals.
