Burlington International Airport Burlington

Burlington International Airport is a public airport serving Burlington, the most populous city in Vermont. The Burlington area also includes such places as South Burlington, the actual location of the airport, Essex Junction and Winooski. Since the airport serves Vermont's largest city, it is fitting that it is the busiest commercial airport in the state. The only other commercial airport in the state is Rutland State Airport, about 70 miles to the south. Due to the relatively low passenger volume compared to major markets, airlines mostly fly Canadair Regional Jets in and out of Burlington (JetBlue, United Airlines and US Airways are notable exceptions). Nevertheless, BTV has flights to many important airline hubs in the East and Midwest including Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington.
